Hi I’m Peter, I am actively looking for employment and career progression.
Why did you decide to do the course?
I first decided to enrol to do the level 1 course for Maths. I really enjoyed this so decided to carry on and complete my level 2 functional skills qualification.
What did the course involve?
I loved the flexibility of remote learning, the Microsoft Teams meetings and lessons were really helpful with my tutor, Alice. I found it easy to navigate the skills forward website and have found the learning materials useful.
What have you gained from undertaking the course?
I have successfully achieved a level 1 and 2 qualification in maths, this is the equivalent of a grade c/ 4 at GCSE.
What impact has the course made to your life?
Before I took this course my mental health was really bad, and I had no confidence when it came to my maths and employability skills. Since working through the program my confidence has grown and it’s made me actively search for employment and gain new qualifications and skills.
How did JIF Training support you during your programme?
Alice was always there for me; she would always answer emails and phone calls and made the learning experience really fun and achievable. If I was stuck, I could easily reach out for help. Alice also helped me write my CV and has helped me so much with some personal problems that I have been going through. The whole time I have been learning with her has been excellent.
How would you rate JIF Training?
I would rate JIF Training as a 10/10. The tutor I had went above and beyond for me and I think they are an exceptional training provider.
What are your plans now after completing the course?
My plans are now to use my new skills and confidence in finding an amazing job and providing a happy and stable life for my family.
