Tell us about yourself

Hi, I am Areisa and I am a mum of 4 and I currently work in a residential home and I was looking to extend my knowledge and education.

Why did you decide to do the course?

I initially wanted to do the the level 1 maths and customer service qualifications for a prospective job. After completing this, I saw it as a good opportunity to continue my learning and complete the higher level 2 qualification for maths.

What did the course involve?

I had one to one tutoring support with regular lessons, access to support outside of my one to one session and online skills forward learning modules plus lots of additional resources.

What have you gained from undertaking the course?

I have gained higher level qualifications and confidence in my maths. I now have lots of transferable and desirable skills that I will use in the workplace.

What impact has the course made to your life?

Although the course was hard at times, I felt so accomplished when I complete and passed. It gave me a new found confidence and can do attitude.

How did JIF Training support you during your programme?

​Alice supported me with 1:1 sessions, she was so responsive to emails and calls outside of our sessions too. Alice was able to explain things to me that made my maths so easy to understand.

How would you rate JIF Training?

I would rate JIF Training with the highest level possible and I would advise anyone to go through them if they are planning on furthering their education. It was absolutely wonderful, especially as an adult learner.

What are your plans now after completing the course?

I am going to look into a career change so I can use my new found skills to their maximum potential.
